EXCELLENT Based on 1521 reviews Posted on Eishal HussainTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an excellent experience with Dr. He at the NW branch of Children Medical Dental. Dr. He was incredibly professional, calm, and reassuring throughout the entire process. He explained everything clearly and made me feel confident and at ease. The procedure went very smoothly, and I truly appreciate the care and precision he showed. I highly recommend Dr. He to any parents looking for a skilled and compassionate pediatric dental specialist.Posted on Ezra BanobaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The service provided by Simran and Dr. He is exceptional. Simran went above and beyond to ensure my daughter understoid how to take care of her teeth- flossing, brushing etc. She's very friendly and made my child feel at ease. Highly recommended.Posted on Courtney MurphyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recommend that anybody paying out of pocket here, check your invoice thoroughly. We attended this clinic twice from around the age of 1 year old to 2 years old. I chose it because I figured they would be good with young children, and we wanted to introduce our child to the dentist from a young age. The first time they scraped the front two, bottom teeth and did a count. The second time, they did nothing (no cleaning or scraping, honestly didn’t really even count his teeth beyond taking a quick peek in his mouth, muttering something about two year molars and sending us on our way). I had to ask them for headphones/to put something on the TV to occupy my toddler. They brought us back to the general, open area and rather than getting straight to it, I ended up having to keep corralling my toddler in an open area while the hygienist (?) fiddled around with tools and the computer for 15 or so minutes. They kept booking us at six month intervals, but I didn’t feel like they were doing anything special in terms of accommodating their patient population so I just cancelled and switched him to our dentist (who does free happy visits/light exams for kids). I randomly decided to look at my benefits/prior billing and realized both times we were billed hundreds of dollars through our benefits for services not rendered (fluoride, polishing) and exorbitant exam fees for appointments that were no longer than 10-15 minutes. While it doesn’t affect me financially, as we luckily have great joint benefits - I kinda feel like this business is pushing questionable charges through people’s benefits. If you’re paying out of pocket, I urge you to look closely at your charges. There also seems to be other reviews questioning charges, and the extent of the charges despite the current fee guides. Two stars because the first dentist and first hygienist we saw at our first appt were both actually really kind and helpful. The second experience was a waste of time and Blue Cross’ money. ETA: in response to the business, I’m saying that the services performed at this business did not match the charges on the invoice (we did not receive these services but were charged for them), and the irony is - it really was less extensive than the happy visit I had at my general dentist lol. Which is interesting, considering this is a specialty clinic.Posted on Chelsea McKelveyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We focus on creating a calm, supportive experience for children while delivering high-quality dental care. Our pediatric dentistry calgary team works with patients of all ages, including those with special needs or medical complexities. With advanced training in growth, airway, and craniofacial development, we take a more comprehensive approach to oral health, helping guide healthy development from an early age.
We recommend bringing your child in by their first birthday or when their first tooth appears. Early visits help your child get comfortable and allow us to catch any concerns early.
This is very common. We take a calm, step-by-step approach to help children feel safe. If needed, we also offer options like nitrous oxide or sedation to make treatment easier.
Some issues aren’t easy to spot at home. Regular visits help us catch things like early decay, crowding, or bite changes before they become bigger problems.
Yes. We accept most insurance plans and offer direct billing. We also accept Alberta Child Health Benefits (ACHB) and NIHB.
Most children should come in every 6 months for checkups and cleanings. This helps prevent cavities and keeps their development on track.
We’ll walk you through the options and recommend the simplest, most comfortable way to treat it. Our goal is to fix the issue early and keep the experience positive for your child.
Not always, but we monitor growth and alignment as your child develops. If we see anything early, we’ll let you know and guide you on the next steps.
That’s okay. It happens more often than you think. We’ll meet you where you’re at and help get your child back on track without judgment.
